Catching Up: Fall & Winter 2018

After a long hiatus, I'm back!

Fall kept us busy. The kids swiftly fell back into their school routines and both took on soccer. So, our Monday/Wednesday/Saturdays were dominated by practices and games (when it wasn't torrentially raining in Austin).

In addition to family happenings, I spent the Fall and Winter planning for my next career move. After nine meaningful years at PSW, I decided to start a team with two colleagues. We signed on with Compass and have been over-the-top busy setting up the new business. It's been chaotic but also fun, knowing this new venture is all ours.

As we reflect back on this Fall, we remember those that we lost and cherish the wonderful memories we had with each one of them: Kay Jayaram, Sharon Johnson, Cinnie Fisk, and Jim Fisk.

We kicked off Fall with my 20 year high school reunion in Kansas City. Fun time reminiscing and catching up with old friends.

Lindsey and Meredith... so much history here:)

Meanwhile, Bama and Papa held down the fort in Austin. Peter Pan Mini Golf for the WIN.

We snuck off to Horseshoe Bay Resort with The Dennises for some pool and lake time. The kids kept busy foraging rocks and building this horseshoe wall.

Sums up this boy.

Lila and Fish

We sure do miss Cinnie. Mom was able to take her to Kansas to spread Grandpa's ashes before she passed.

Field trips galore for Fisher this Fall. Luckily I was able to go on all of them... never been more exhausted than after a day with 16 four year olds. His teacher is a SAINT!

First field trip, first nap on a bus... tired boy.

Hooray! Laura and Ryan are back from London. Such a sweet reunion.

Chiefffffffffs!

Fish is very proud that he can now write his name unprompted.

Fisher takes a spill on a bike ramp. Luckily, our friend and Mathews' parent is an ER doc and glued him up at her house just three blocks away.

The kids had a blast playing soccer this fall.
